Outlook 36: Quantifying the Mutual Requirements Driving AI and 6G Co-Evolution

We have just published the second Outlook in our Outlook series ‘6G Mission Possible!’, a series of white papers summarizing the impact of a number of technologies and new markets on the development of 6G. They are intended to mark the conclusion of the research phase of 6G, as it moves into standardization. The aim of this white paper is to characterize, in a quantitative manner, the two-way relationship between AI and 6G, AI for Network and Network for AI, by identifying the infrastructure and system demands that advanced AI workloads, such as large language models (LLMs), GenAI, and distributed learning, impose on 6G networks.
